Sue Goodwin

Certified Pickleball Instructor

Hi, my name is Sue Goodwin and Iā€™m a pretty good player. My current DUPR rating is 4.8, and I play tournaments in addition to my lesson schedule.

My story in sports started way back, almost before women had any opportunity to play the games they loved. My privilege and my athletic ability gave me opportunity to play sports and I loved it! I was put on a tennis court in 1963, at 10 years old, and I found my purpose. Most importantly, I learned how to be a good coach from coaches that I loved; understanding that coaching came from within, your willingness to give everything you had to help another find what was in them. From tennis to national level racquetball, and everything in between, my purpose became giving back through sport.

  • And then we found pickleball. Anyone can play this game! And after your first time playing, you can actually play a game and feel that feeling that athletes get; the thrill of the game, the opportunity to compete and most importantly, the chance to build community through the game. Everyone deserves to feel the joy that pickleball brings. Whether you aspire to become a tournament player or play for recreation, I can help you get where you want to go.
